Vivian: Re: POLACSEK fm Pohaba
My great-grandmother was Ottilie (Adel) POLACSEK b. about 1845. She married Miksa NEUMAN about 1863. Ottilie's father or her brother was Lipot. His name appears in Sobrance birth records for several of her children. My great-grandmother probably lived until about 1920. I have not been able to find a death record.

Vivian: Re: POLACSEK fm Pohaba
Several years ago I attempted, without success, to contact Marie Richelholz who filed a Page of Testimony for her aunt Otilie Polacek Kohn fm Pohaba. Marie was living in Santa Monica, CA, at the time she filed POTs for Otilie [married to Hugo KOHN],{& for} her brother Rudolf [Polacek]. She also
filed a POT for her cousin Eugenie b. Wien 1908, daughter of Ferdinand and Malwine POLACEK. Eugenie perished after being deported from Wien to Sobibor 14 June 1942.

Another researcher familiar with Austrian resources did some checking and found some additional information.

Rudolf POLACEK lived from nr Slany, Rakonitzer Kreis in Bohemia − and he was married to Fanny SIEDL. Other POLACEK family members lived in Vienna − the younger generation [Eugenie] was born there. Hugo KOHN of Vienna may have survived and we may be able to follow him up. Alternatively if he died in Vienna there will be more leads.
